Al Khor assistant coach Mustafa Al Sweheb spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Sadd.
“Our match against leaders Al Sadd will undoubtedly be strong and difficult, as we were one of the two teams (the other being Qatar SC) that achieved a positive result against Al Sadd in the first leg. Now, we are required to work and focus on the field, we are playing against a strong team and certainly pressure is on them and on us. Also, we hope to perform well in this match and at the desired level.
“Our team needs offensive and defensive balance, and we see that there are good signs in the team, and support in the midfield will benefit the team and we will definitely have our way.
“Our preparations for the Al Sadd match were normal, as are all matches, and we are mentally and physically prepared, and we hope that we will achieve the goal that we aspire to,” said Mustafa.
Al Khor player Thamer Jamal said, “Everyone in the team feels responsible and all players know that the team is not in a good position, but we have the responsibility to get out of this difficult situation. Things are in our hands and match after match, we can improve our position.
“Al Sadd are strong, but football is mostly about performance on the pitch. We hope we will present a good match and come out with a positive result.”
