Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Kharaitiyat.

“This is a very important match for us. Al Kharaitiyat team, whatever their position might be in the QSL standings, remains a strong side. They have the chance to win points. The league is at an important stage as far as scoring points is concerned. I do not see any easy matches for any side.

“Al Ahli are preparing for this match with the aim of delivering the best performance and getting the best result. We started our preparations last week and despite the player shortage on our roster, the existing group has been preparing with full focus for the important stage of the league.

“The players must remain focused one game after another in order to achieve our goal of obtaining the best position in the league. I do not look at the top four as much as I look at victories and points. The current stage of the season is that there are three matches and there are points to be won,” said Jovovic.

Al Ahli player Baro Siddiqui said, “Our ambitions are to win the remaining matches in the league and that our goal is to improve our position in the standings. We have prepared well ahead of the Al Kharaitiyat clash.

“We have been training daily. We will play to win the match despite the fact that it won’t be easy as Al Kharaitiyat will also play hard to win. We are looking at winning all the remaining matches.”
