Lusail SC upstaged Al Ahli 4-1 in the second round of 2025-2026 season QSL Cup at the 974 Stadium on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

It was a strong comeback from Lusail, who had suffered a 1-5 loss to Al Kharaitiyat in the opening round. The win saw Lusail bag their first full three points, while Al Ahli’s tally remained on one point.

Tiago Jose Geralnik (seventh minute), Rayane Attia (46th minute), Abdullah Makki (63rd minute) and Amin Alireza Pilali (64th minute) scored the goals for Lusail, while Jassem Al Sharshani pulled one back for Al Ahli.

Lusail went up early with a penalty kick taken by Geralnik before coming back to score three more in the second session.

Attia, who scored a fine second goal through the legs of Al Ahli goalkeeper Mohamed Lengliz, also provided a superb assist past a diving Lengliz from the left for captain Abdullah Makki to deflect in the team’s third goal.

The fourth was a fine solo strike by Pilali on a counter-attack.
