Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 6 match against Al Rayyan.

“The match will not be easy, given the strength of the opponent and the nature of matches between the two teams, which are always characterized by intense competition.

“Preparations were normal. We worked on the strategy we will adopt for the match. We must give our best to get the three points. Al Rayyan are a direct competitor, so we will approach the match with great focus.

“Muntari and Amro Serag will miss the match, while Al Janahi is in better shape after his last appearance,” said Martins.

Al Gharafa’s Korean defender Jang Hyun-Soo said, “The goal is to win and take the three points, despite the short rest period between matches.

“Al Rayyan are a strong team, but Al Gharafa have distinguished players capable of deciding the match. The important thing is that we respect the opponents and play the right way.”
