Qatar SC face Al Shamal in Week 5 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:20 at the Al Janoub Stadium on Monday, 29th August, 2022.
The match is of particular importance to both teams following their losses in the last round, as each team seeks to correct its situation and regain ground.
Qatar SC went down to Al Wakrah 0-3 and Al Shamal lost to Al Arabi 0-1 in Week 4.
Qatar SC are currently placed ninth with four points, while Al Shamal are sixth with sixth points. The difference of two points between them will ignite a battle of equals, especially with both sides having the potential to score wins.
Qatar SC are desperate for a win since their recent results are not something their fans would have wished for, more so after the club management’s support for the team and the recruitment of new professional players.
Coach Yousef Safri has a large group of players who can deliver good results such as Bashar Rasan, Sebastian Soria, Ali Awad, Matheus Jussa, Moataz Bostami, Ibrahim Majed and Khaled Al Mahmoudi among others.
As for Al Shamal, they go into the clash with the desire to win having achieved two positive results against Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa.
Their coach Hisham Zahid has worked hard over the past few days to raise the morale of his players and has urged them to deliver their best and keep up the strong performances the team has been presenting this season.
Al Shamal have a number of players who are able to make a difference, especially Ali Alwan, Amjad Atwan, Mohammed El Sayed ‘Jeddo’, Loic Landre, Matias Nani and Yacine Bammou.
