Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 9 match against Al Gharafa.

“During the break, we played a number of friendly matches and in the FIFA Referee Cup and Ooredoo Cup, where we focused on our strengths. We must thank the players for their sacrifice and discipline in training in particular. They did great work in training during the period of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, so I can say that we’ve completed our preparations.

“Our matches against Al Gharafa are always special and I have great confidence in the players and their ability to provide everything that is possible in line with the club’s reputation. Al Gharafa are a good team with a coach and players of a high level. We were keen to develop our capabilities during the break and we are waiting for the positive results on the field.

“I thank our administrative staff for all efforts made to strengthen the team’s ranks with the best players and this great support is a great incentive for us to always provide the best,” said Safri.

Qatar SC player Sebastian Soria said, “During the break, we were keen to train very well and everyone was performing his best with high professionalism, as we tried to provide the best in general for the club especially since the atmosphere was very positive.

“We are ready to resume the journey again and we have great confidence in our team. We are keen to provide the best possible level and results, and be focused in all matches.

“It is very important that we have high team spirit and must make a difference on the field. We must make the best use of technical staff and strive to develop the team in the best possible way.

“We face Al Gharafa with the ambition of winning and our preparations for the match were excellent. We also appreciate Al Gharafa, who are a competitive team, therefore we are required to be fully prepared for this match.”
