Al Sailiya assistant coach Amine Farikha spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 9 match against Al Ahli.

“Facing Al Ahli will be difficult given that the opponents have players capable of making a difference at any time. We tried to focus on our strengths and weaknesses in addition to correcting some mistakes in our team. I hope we take advantage of our strengths and do not give a chance to the opponents to have their way.

“Our last match against Al Rayyan was difficult as expected. They are a good team. Our preparations were good and the players presented a good level, but we faced many difficulties in taking advantage of the opportunities that came our way. We tried to come back, but were not lucky. The next will be better, God-willing.

“Statistics show that the players made a great level and physical effort, but in general in each team you find ups and downs. We could not convert opportunities to goals,” said Amine.

Al Sailiya player Mustafa Mohammed said, “Facing Al Ahli will be difficult. The  match is of great importance to us.

“Our goal is to achieve victory and collect the three points that we need the most at this stage as we are going through a lean patch. We will do everything we can to achieve a positive result and come out of the match with full points.”
