Al Gharafa face Qatar SC in Week 20 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League at the Al Gharafa Stadium on Friday, April 28. The kick-off is at 21:00.

Being in bid to be in the top four, the match between these two sides will be a strong tussle to gain the three points – which are of great importance at this stage of the competition with only two more matchdays ahead of this remaining.

While Al Gharafa are looking to enhance their placing in the top four and finish the season with their best position, Qatar SC will be aiming to dislodge their opponents and improve their own chances of being in the top bracket.

Al Gharafa are presently fourth in the standings with 32 points to their credit, while Qatar SC are in sixth place with 29 points.

Three points separate the two and as such the two teams will battle hard to outdo each other. Al Wakrah, who are fifth with 30 points, are also pushing for a place in the top four and as such the contest is vital for all teams concerned.

Qatar SC are coming off from a 1-0 win over Al Rayyan in the postponed Week 18 match between them, while Al Gharafa have a huge morale boost having defeated league title contenders Al Duhail 2-0 in their Week 19 match.

Both Al Gharafa and Qatar SC are well aware of each other in terms of strengths and weaknesses, and the coach of each team – Pedro Martins of Al Gharafa and Youssef Safri of Qatar SC – will aim for their players to enhance the presence of his team and produce a positive result towards gaining the points.

Both sides possess quality defence, midfield and attack lines, and the contest is expected to produce a lot of excitement.
