Al Markhiya assistant coach Henk Duut spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Shamal.
“The training is taking place in a positive atmosphere and in high spirits after the victory over Al Shamal in the last match, and under the supervision of new coach Hicham Jadrane. And the technical staff worked on developing new technical plans for the match.
“I think Al Shamal are a very good team. They made the previous match, postponed from the ninth round, difficult for us.
“The next match requires more effort, as we seek to continue achieving victories, and I see that Al Shamal will enter the match in an offensive way, but we trust in our defence to counter this attack.
“The team will enter the match with full ranks, except for player Khaled Radwan, who received a red card in the 19th round of the league,” said Henk Duut.
Al Markhiya player Abdulhadi Dalloul said, “The match is very important as its points will help the team and make Al Markhiya in a safe position.
“The team presented a good level in the previous match against Al Shamal, thanks to the efforts of players, and currently the team is in its best condition in terms of preparing for the next match after a two-day rest period on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, and all players will work to achieve victory in the match that we consider a cup final.
“The victory in the last match raised the morale of players and would be a greater motivation to win again over Al Shamal.”
