Al Kharaitiyat coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Al Sailiya.

“This match is of great importance for us as it comes at an important stage in the competition, during which all teams seek to win points, secure their position and improve it, according to the goals and aspirations of each team.

“Our ambition in this match and what follows it is to achieve victories in order to advance to a better position. Victories do not come with wish, but with work. Everyone needs to join hands in order to achieve the desired goal.

“Al Sailiya are a strong team that includes distinguished players. Sami Trabelsi is an expert coach and the most persistent in our league. He knows all details of the teams, so we respect Al Sailiya.

“Al Sailiya are coming from a heavy loss against Al Sadd. But we realise that Al Sailiya are a strong team and it was not their day. We know that they will play strongly against us to compensate for the big loss against Al Sadd,” said Wesam.

Al Kharaitiyat player Mohammed Osman said, “The game against Al Sailiya will not be easy. They will play strongly in order to compensate for the previous loss  to Al Sadd. Therefore, their players will work to double their efforts to bring the team back to the path of victories again. They are a team that includes excellent players, be it overseas or national, and we are aware of the strength of the Al Sailiya team and its great desire to improve its position.

“At the same time, we believe in ourselves and we will work hard to achieve victory. We have no other choice.”
