Ahead of Al Rayyan’s 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 8 humdinger against Al Arabi, scheduled for Friday, 25th October, Mohammed Alaaeldin spoke to qsl.qa in an exclusive interview.
How’ve been your preparations for the Al Arabi match?
Preparations have been same for all matches. We’re looking for victory to get three points. The coach (Diego Aguirre) has prepared us very well for this game.
What’re your expectations of this game?
I expect it’ll be a tough game for both teams, especially because it’s difficult to predict what’ll happen on the pitch.
Is your team able to keep winning?
We’re always looking for victory. We’ll give everything to reach our target and I hope we’ll succeed.
What's so special about the match between Al Rayyan and Al Arabi?
Of course, it’s always a big occasion with a big crowd. It’s a difficult game for both teams. As I said, it’s difficult to predict who’ll win.
What can Al Rayyan players promise?
We promise to give off our best efforts on the field.
Al Rayyan fans are waiting for more. What do you say to them?
I would like to thank them for their support. I hope they’ll continue to support the team in all matches.
What message would you like to give your fans in view of the Al Arabi game?
I just hope they turn up in large numbers because they’re the team’s main supporters.
Who’s the player you worry about in Al Arabi?
We aren’t worried about a particular player, but Al Arabi have many outstanding players and the game won’t be easy for both teams.
Al Rayyan are competing strongly for a top position. Are you able to go on like this till the end?
We think only about the game we’ve to play and aren’t worried about other things. We always focus on the game in hand.
What’re Al Rayyan’s target this season?
Achieving victories and making Al Rayyan fans happy.
Is the team capable of winning the league?
At the moment, we aren’t thinking about it. As I said, we’re focusing on the next game. That’s our target now.
What’s the difference in the team this season?
I think the team is constantly improving and our performance has become better.
