Al Kharaitiyat’s fitness coach Ahmed Badarudeen spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 18 match against Al Gharafa.

“The win over Umm Salal in the last round gave a big boost to our confidence. We played a good game.

“The Al Gharafa game is not going to be easy. They are also coming from a good result, a goalless draw with defending champions Al Duhail. So we are expecting a tough contest.

“We only believe in playing well against all teams. We had a good game against Al Ahli in the 16th round, but we did not win.

“We cannot count on the past in football. Previous victories have nothing to do with the present. We rely on performance and provide our best level against all teams.

“It has to be said that the victory over Umm Salal reflected positively on the players even in training. It has motivated them to continue victories, so that we can avoid relegation.

“Mahmoud Saad and Mahdi Al Khamassi have recovered from their injuries, but Anwar Diba needs some more time to recuperate,” said Badarudeen.
