Al Khor coach Winfried Schefer spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 18 match against Al Gharafa.

“I’m happy with the team’s performance and spirit exhibited in the previous match against Al Sailiya. Our game against Al Gharafa will be difficult.

“Al Gharafa are considered as one of the best teams in the league, but I feel comfortable. Our team has prepared well for this match and I saw it in training. We have to play with great discipline and strength in this match.

“Coming out with a positive result is our goal for this match and we must avoid mistakes. The players gave a great performance and I noticed everyone’s level evolving in the last match. We must develop more and more, what we trained in these weeks should be displayed on the pitch.

“Maybe, a draw might be good, but we are looking for three points from this game and I have confidence in my players,” said Schefer.

Al Khor player Diab Haroun said, “The team has been playing with great spirit and put up good performances in the last two matches. Under the expertise of coach Schefer, we are ready for the next match and for all upcoming matches.

“I feel comfortable at Al Khor club and I will take any opportunity I get to give everything to the team. We have prepared well for the Al Gharafa match and we will try hard to collect the three points.”
