Al Ahli coach Ruben de la Barrera spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Al Wakrah.

“I think, against Al Wakrah, we should adopt the same strategy as we had during our victory against Umm Salal last week. This game is an opportunity to improve our position in the table, where we can reach the top four, especially after the result of last week.

“Al Wakrah are a very strong team and our players must be wary of them. We should concentrate on winning against Al Wakrah. Then, we have the Ooredoo Cup.

“We put up good performances in some games, like the one against Al Sadd, but we did not do our best in the second half in games, such as those against Al Gharafa, Al Rayyan and Al Shahania…

“There is room for improvement. We can compete for a place in the top four,” said Barrera.
