Al Rayyan coach Diego Aguirre spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 19 match against Al Arabi.
“The preparations for Al Arabi match was like all games, nothing had changed. We continued our training in the same way and we should be at the top of our readiness and focus, and give off our best in every match.
“We have good players, who know very well that all games we play will be difficult. We will be at the highest level of readiness to play a strong match. The most important thing for us is that we play in our usual way and do our best to get what we want from this match.
“Certainly, Al Rayyan are a big team, so we are always under pressure because we have to win and we certainly suffer from pressure, but that is normal.
“We are ready for everything, we know that the upcoming match against Al Arabi is very important, we should not think about winning or losing, we should only think of providing our best level in this match, which is like a final,” said Aguirre.
Al Rayyan player Yacine Brahimi said, “We know how important is the game against Al Arabi at this stage, especially because the difference between us and Al Duhail is only two points, so we must focus on our team and ourselves. We have to take each match separately. We consider Al Arabi game as a final and we will work to provide a big match and get the three points.
“I play with an outstanding group of players. Al Rayyan are a big team and the atmosphere inside the club is very good, we play well and achieve good results. We have to keep working because we have a target now in four difficult games and we are taking it step by step.
“My main target is to win the league title with Al Rayyan, it is important for me. I hope to help the team achieve this target.”
