Al Rayyan coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 4 match against Al Kharaitiyat.
“Al Kharaitiyat have a new coach (Aziz Al Amri who replaced Nassif Al Bayawi) and a good player in Jugurtha Hamroun. That should give them a new boost.
“However, we’re looking only at our team. We’re staying focused for this game. We’re eagerly waiting for some of our players to be seen in action, especially after Moroccan striker Anderrazaq Hamdallah left the squad.
“Argentinian striker Jonathan Menendez’s papers have been cleared from his old club Independiente. He’s still adapting to the atmosphere, team and weather in Doha. He may play the next game, or else he’ll start in the game after next. I’m closely watching his physical condition.
“We’ll go for a win aginst Al Kharaitiyat, just like we did against Al Duhail. We’ll put up a good fight. Our performance has been good in three matches. We’ve to improve with the ball. Overall, I’ve found that we’ve our chances to finish among the top in the league.
“It’s true that we’re playing without a professional player and some players are arriving for training sessions late, but we hope to improve after every match and end up in a respectable position,” said Rodolfo.
