Qatar SC coach Sergio Batista spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Al Shahania.

“We are excited about the Qatar national team’s achievement at the Asian Cup. It will encourage all clubs to raise the bar on themselves. It will also have a positive impact on the game here and increase the enthusiasm among all stakeholders.

“We are ready to face Al Shahania. I consider each of the remaining seven  league matches as a final because everyone knows it will be difficult. And Al Shahania is the first in the line for us.

“Al Shahania are strong competitors. Their players’ confidence is high and they deliver on the field,” said Batista.
