Al Sadd coach Xavi Hernandez spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 2 match against Al Shahania.
“This game against a strong team will be very difficult. We’re playing to win and get three points. I’m happy with what my team offers in every game and the team is evolving from one game to another. League competition is difficult.
“We played against Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia in the AFC Champions League in a good way in the first half. Despite the mistakes we made, the second half was equal. We learned from the mistakes and we’re rectifying them in preparation for the second leg. Now, we focus on the league games in order to continue the victories.
“Every game is different. Al Shahania are a well-organised team with a good coach. The game will be difficult. If we think otherwise, we’ll suffer a lot.
“As for the injury-forced absence of South Korean professional Nam Tae-Hee, he is a very important player for the team. At the moment, we’ve many key players who can give the team the best,” said Xavi.
