Al Khor coach Omar Najhi spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 2 match against Umm Salal.

“An important match and we hope the result will be better than the draw we had against Al Sailiya in the first week. Our team is rejuvenated after our good performance in our opening game.

“We’re determined to continue the upward pattern that we presented against Al Sailiya. The confidence of our technical staff as well as players received a boost. We’re looking for more positive results besides good performances.

“The potential of Umm Salal is great and they’ve good players. It’s a strong side with a strong attack line, organised defence and experienced players in the midfield. But they also have weaknesses that we’ll seek to take advantage of and we hope the outcome of the game will be in favour of us.

“We’re still at the beginning of the season and we can’t judge the levels of the teams. We’re satisfied with our level and we look forward to finishing in a creditable position by the end of the season,” said Omar.
