Al Ahli coach Milan Macala spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Al Sadd.

“We do not have the services of our regular goalkeeper Yazan Naim when we face Al Sadd. I am sad that Al Sadd bowed out of the AFC Champions League. They did well against Persepolis and even scored an away goal before losing out on aggregate. They played well throughout the tournament.

“We are realistic about our chances against Al Sadd despite the fact we have had some positive results of late. In such strong matches, when a good result is achieved against a big team, you are going in the right direction.

“We are now fourth and we have an ambition to progress in the QNB Stars League standings, but certainly not to the first place. I feel we would have been in the fourth position had we beaten Al Sailiya (in Week 6),” said Macala.
