Al Ahli coach Ruben de la Barrera spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Al Shahania.

“We didn’t have enough time to prepare during the international break because a number of our players were with national teams and they’ve just returned. The victory over Qatar SC in our last game was important.

“We want to win against Al Shahania as well. We’ll use the time before the game to build on the good work we do in training and prepare the players in the best possible way.

“We still hope to be among the top-four teams in the league. That’s our goal this season. But we must admit that we must work hard. We aren’t worried about the rise in the level of Al Arabi and Al Gharafa this season. We focus only on our performance,” said Barrera.
