Al Wakrah coach Marquez Lopez spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Al Sailiya.

“We’re happy that we could beat Al Sadd by a big margin in the first round of Ooredoo Cup played during the international break.

“Coming to Al Sailiya game, they were very strong last season and finished third for the first time ever in their history. They may not be doing that well so far this season, but they’re still a strong side.

“We lost five points in the last two rounds after losing to Umm Salal and drawing with Al Gharafa. This is football. Sometimes, we play well and still don’t win. Sometimes, you get lucky. We had good chances to get a number of points from those two games, but we missed opportunities,” said Marquez.
