After Umm Salal announced that Aziz Ben Askar would take charge of the team, he spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Al Gharafa.

“I have to thank Umm Salal for their confidence in me to coach the team. I asked to have Mustafa Adam whom I knew with me. We will work together to change the image of the team, which has good-quality players.

“I talked to the players about the importance of giving off their best to the team and playing in a challenging spirit. And that the past is not important and everyone should try again.

“The next game against Al Gharafa will be difficult. We have to stay highly focused because it is a difficult mission. There may be some mistakes, but we must learn from them,” said Ben Askar.
