Al Wakrah coach Marquez Lopez spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Duhail.

“Of late, we had been focusing on the Ooredoo Cup and Amir Cup. Now, the focus is back on the league. We have seriously prepared the team to face Al Duhail. We realise that it will be a difficult confrontation mainly because they are too strong and are the leaders. We are working to provide the best level and get three points. I had watched Al Duhail’s lost match against Al Taawon in the AFC Champions League.

“We will not forget that the situation of our team is difficult because we have many injury worries. We always play in order to win and advance to a better position. Our target now is to maintain the sixth position despite the difficulties. To be in that position is a good thing for a team that got promoted from the Second Division.

“Certainly, the match will be difficult. Our game against Al Sadd, which we won, was also difficult. We will seek victory against Al Duhail,” said Marquez.
