Al Shahania coach Jose Murcia spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 22 match against Al Gharafa.

“We will face Al Gharafa with the same determination and enthusiasm that we displayed during our victory over Umm Salal in the last round. Al Gharafa are strong opponents and this match comes after they have ensured their stay in the QNB Stars League.

“Football is very nice because it gives you the opportunity every week to show the improvement in what you are doing. This game gives us the opportunity to improve our position, even though we moved up in the ranking after last week. We will play with the same grit as we did in the previous matches.

“Stability, continuity and commitment are very important. We have also passed through difficulties, but we overcame them through our strength. We have been playing with a core team of players for many years. Our style of playing has also been the same. I do not want to do anything for myself.

“All our players are convinced that stability is the source of the team’s strength. We have proved ourselves by staying in the QNB Stars League,” said Murcia.
