Umm Salal coach Aziz Ben Askar spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Sailiya.

“As everyone knows, it is the last match in the first leg. Of course, we are in a bad position and we must conclude it with a victory.

“We had a break for the league, we worked during that time to correct mistakes, knowing our negative points and knowing the real capabilities of our players. I think we took advantage of this break.

“Umm Salal are not like Al Rayyan or Al Sadd. However, we are not far from the big clubs. Everyone in Umm Salal wants a real return of the team, which needs good results. That will happen only through hard work.

“We are fully aware of the fact that the situation is difficult and we are sure that Umm Salal will make a strong comeback.

“Of course, I feel the pressure, but I like working under pressure because it generates motivation for everyone in the team. The big clubs shine under such pressure and challenges, and show fighting spirit,” said Ben Askar.
