Al Sadd coach Xavi Hernandez spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League match against Al Arabi, deferred from Week 5.

“We have our task cut out, especially since Al Arabi have improved a lot. They are playing well with a strong offensive line and now is the time to return to victories for Al Sadd.
“We have played many good matches, but we were not able to win all of them, so we must make a strong comeback right from the match against Al Arabi. That way, we can compete for the title. We worked to correct the mistakes we made in the previous rounds.
“From my experience as a player, we must work to develop the team. I know that we must improve our lines more, no doubt that our players have the motivation to achieve victory despite the fact that Al Arabi won in the last round and we lost. The motivation is always here in Al Sadd team,” said Xavi.

Al Sadd player Pedro said, “We have to focus especially because we lost many points. We will play the match as a ‘final’, so we are working in order to score victory.
“We cannot say that the loss against Al Wakrah in the last round was due to fatigue. We had controlled the game. We will try hard to win against Al Arabi. We will work to reduce the number of mistakes and collect three points.”
