Al Ahli’s assistant coach Ivan spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Khor.

“We wish to maintain the good level we had exhibited in the previous matches in order to keep getting good results. We have great respect for Al Khor.

“We will miss Majed Mohammed because of his suspension and Yazan Naim through injury. Rest of the players are ready for the game.

“We wish to storm into the top four. We could take advantage of the situation in our match against Al Sadd as they went into the game following their exit from the AFC Champions League. And we managed to win by a 4-1 margin. The victory also boosted our hopes of occupying a spot in the top-four bracket,” said Ivan.

Al Ahli player Jassim Mohammed said, “We will play to win this important game. We suffered from inconsistency and mixed results at the start of the league. Al Khor will not be easy opponents, but we are ready for the game.”
