Al Gharafa coach Christian Gourcuff spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 12 match against Qatar SC.
“We are into the second leg of the league competition and there was an assessment of the performance so far, especially in the last game with which we were not happy. The result did not match with our performance.
“We have been hit with inconsistency in performance right from the beginning of the competition. Look at our victory over Al Khor by a 6-0 margin. We stumbled in the next game and were held goalless by Al Shahania! We could not even score a goal.
“We are seeking positive results from the coming matches. With some victories, we can find ourselves in the top four. At the same time, we must pay attention to the teams that left us behind in the standings.
“We had a bad experience against Qatar SC in the very first week of the competition when we lost. I think Qatar SC are again finding stability in terms of performance.
“They could have drawn against Al Rayyan in the previous round. They have a great player in Samuel Eto’o,” said Gourcuff.
