Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 13 match against Al Sailiya.

“We took advantage of the break in order to prepare well and improve our performance despite defeats in the last two games. And we are ready for Al Sailiya match. We had some individual problems and we lost the services of some players because of injuries, but we will not talk about it here. We must unite to show our strength and character in the match against Al Sailiya.

“With the teams that I trained before Al Ahli, I was looking for titles. I know that the situation is different in Al Ahli at least for now. But we are taking it match by match and we hope to improve our performance. With more efforts and preparations, we can take Al Ahli to the top.

“We did not benefit from the current winter transfers, but we have some days in front of us. I can see that Al Ahli are a good team and can become better.

“I trust in Al Ahli through the work that I saw from the players recently. We are suffering from injuries to Nabil El Zhar, Fahd Khalfan and Saleh Al Yahri, and also missed three players for a long time because of their participation in the Qatar Olympic team at the Asian Under-23 Championship,” said Nebojsa.
