Al Duhail coach Rui Faria spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 21 match against Al Kharaitiyat.

“Our preparations went the way we wanted. We change our strategies according to our opponents. I told the players that the victory should be ours. We must see the strengths of opponents. We cannot take risks with players because there are important games for us in the AFC Champions League and Emir Cup as well.

“It is difficult winning the league title, but what is important for us is to win and get the full points. We cannot make Al Sadd win the league because we lost the points, so we have to play hard and continue winning.

“Al Sadd want to win the games in order to win the championship and we will not give up any point easily. We have to be wary of Al Kharaitiyat’s counter-attacks.

“There are some players who suffer from injuries and that is why we are thinking about resting some players and making changes in the squad,” said Faria.
