Qatar SC coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 22 match against Al Sadd.
“I thank everyone in the last Press conference of this season and I hope that we have done our duty properly.
“Our position is not easy. Decisive match awaits us and if we recall the previous Press conferences when we were talking about the beginning of a difficult season and how to reach a state of stability and achieve positive results and move away from the risk of relegation, then the team gradually developed and we moved significantly until we reached a stage when we are competing for the first four places as a result of concerted teamwork that paid off.
“The next match will be the outcome of our efforts throughout the season, and facing Al Sadd is not easy, especially as they are preparing for AFC Champions League. They are a great team, be it they play with main players or substitutes. We have to focus and play at the same level of enthusiasm that our match against Al Ahli ended, despite the state of nervous tension, a situation that the two teams faced because we were both looking for the culmination of our work throughout the season,” said Younes.
Qatar SC player Yousef Ayman said, “We are aware of the importance of our match against Al Sadd. They are a large team that possesses the character of champions and have a record of achievements, star players and a distinguished good coach.
“We go into the match with one goal, which is to obtain winning points and compete for the top four, a result that represents the fruit of our efforts for the current season, and there is no doubt that we are facing pressure and responsibility, but we seek to invest in the existing climate in a positive way and strive to win.”
