Al Kharaitiyat coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 18 match against Al Duhail.

“Undoubtedly, it is a difficult match and everyone realizes the great strength of Al Duhail team, which includes in its ranks many distinguished players (overseas and Qatari professionals) who perform at good levels. Considering the position of the two teams in the league, we must double our efforts and strive to do our best, and not commit mistakes.

“We respect the Al Duhail team, but we still have great confidence in the players despite the team’s decline in the rankings. We went through the pre-match training well and there is a desire among the players to provide the best level during this match despite it being a difficult match against a strong team.

“We have corrected the mistakes that occurred during the previous matches and we asked the players not to be afraid of matches and to double focus. We still have the opportunity to collect points that can help us stay in the first division. God-willing, we will provide the required level,” said Wesam.

Al Kharaitiyat player Pejman Montazeri said, “We seek to appear in a better way after exiting the Amir Cup. All of our players will double their focus against Al Duhail and try to provide the best possible level.

“Al Duhail, ranked second in the table, will seek to shine at our expense. We respect them a lot, but our preparations went off well and we seek to achieve a positive result to renew our hopes of staying in the QNB Stars League.”
