Al Arabi coach Heimir Hallgrimsson spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Al Gharafa.
“It’s good to have four or five players with the national teams. Plus, Morteza Pouraliganji did duty for the Iran national tram. We benefited from the break as we worked with other players.
“I know the strength of Al Gharafa, they have good players with high skills and experience. We’re ready for the match.
“Our injured midfielder Aron (Gunnarsson) will be absent for two or three months. It was unfortunate for us to lose a player like him at this stage. He’s a fighter and supports other players as well. He gives them the freedom to perform well. We’ve succeeded in bringing a good player like him. We hope he will give us the same level that Aron gave us,” said Hallgrimsson.
Al Arabi player Hamdi Harbaoui said, “The match against Al Gharafa assumes much importance for us because there’s not much difference between us in the points table. We’re working to keep winning and achieve good results. We’re determined to win. I’ve the ambition to be the league’s top scorer, but the priority is Al Arabi’s results.”
