Al Duhail coach Rui Faria spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 8 match against Al Gharafa.

“We expect a tough match against an organised team with a distinctive style of play and a highly-experienced coach. Despite the importance of the game, we are preparing for it like all other games in order to win and take three points. The players are ready to achieve this target.

“The game is not exceptional because any team we face plays to win three points. We have one target in all games and that is victory. Our opponents Al Gharafa want to win and we also want to beat them.

“Missing opportunities is not what I am worrying about. For me, I will worry more if my team cannot create opportunities in front of the opponents’ goal. It is true that the ideal situation is to turn all opportunities into goals and this is what we will try to work on in this match and all upcoming games, in order to earn full points,” said Faria.

Al Duhail player Yousef Msakni said, “The game is important because it is with a direct competitor for the top position in the table. We must win to stay as leaders. The victory will increase the gap between us and Al Gharafa.”
