Umm Salal’s Adel Alawi is to undergo a knee operation at Aspetar on 27th March and is expected to be out of action for almost two months.

Subsequently, Adel will undergo an intensive rehabilitation programme in order to be fully ready in time for the next season.

Meanwhile, Umm Salal players, with the exception of Syrian Mahmoud Mawas who is playing in the tri-nation international friendly tournament also featuring hosts Iraq and Qatar, are going through their paces ahead of their crucial QNB Stars League Week 22 game against already-relegated Al Markhiya.
