The Qatar Stars League (QSL) held a Technical Meeting ahead of the semifinals of Qatar Cup 2021, where the top four clubs in the 2019-20 season QNB Stars League (Al Duhail, Al Rayyan, Al Sadd and Al Gharafa in that order) compete.

The meeting was held at the QSL Headquarters in Al Bidda Tower in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Salman Al Adsani, Director of Competitions Department at the QSL, Mr. Abdullah Al Balooshi, representative of the Referees’ Commission of the Qatar Football Association, and representatives of the competing clubs (Ismail Ahmed of Al Duhail, Omar Al Azani of Al Rayyan, Mohammed Saeed of Al Sadd and Fahad Ali of Al Gharafa).

The meeting discussed the following aspects:

Continuation of the existing precautionary measures and the approved medical protocol for Coronavirus (Covid-19) and the need to emphasize them to everyone to follow the instructions and procedures.

Determination of jerseys (basic and reserve) of each team.

Organisational aspects and match-day procedures.

Importance of meeting deadlines to reach the venue on match days.

Rules and regulations of the tournament, especially if the match time ends in a draw in regular time, penalty shoot-out will be directly resorted to without extra time.
