The Qatar Stars League (QSL) held a Technical Meeting on Thursday, 16th January, ahead of the 2020 Qatar Cup final between Al Duhail and Al Sadd on Friday, 17th January, at the Al Sadd Stadium. The kick-off is at 5.30pm.

The meeting was attended by QSL’s Head of Football Operations Mr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Sayed, Al Duhail representative Mr. Ismail Ahmed, his Al Sadd counterpart Mr. Mohammed Saeed and Mr. Abdullah Al Balooshi from the Qatar Football Association’s Referees’ Committee.

Mr. Al Sayed welcomed all attendees and congratulated both clubs on reaching the final of Qatar Cup, the cup of Pride and Glory.

The meeting discussed the following matters:

- Importance of attending the stadium on schedule.

- Ensuring each team brings the main and reserve squads for the match.

- Determining jersey colours and kits for each team. Al Sadd decided to play with full white and Al Duhail with full red jerseys.

- The tournament format, which stipulates straight penalty shoot-out in the event of a tie at the end of regular time.

- The referees’ decisions will be final and that both teams should abide by them.
