The QSL Cup quarterfinals are round the corner following the conclusion of group stage. Qatar SC, Al Gharafa, Al Duhail and Al Kharaitiyat had progressed from Group A, while Al Rayyan, Al Khor, Al Ahli and Al Sadd were the teams which qualified from Group B, in that order.

The quarterfinal fixtures are Al Rayyan vs Al Kharaitiyat (16:25) and Al Gharafa vs Al Ahli (18:50) on Friday, 18th January, and Qatar SC vs Al Sadd (16:25) and Al Duhail vs Al Khor (18:50) on Saturday, 19th January.

Friday’s both matches will be played at the Al Gharafa Stadium and Saturday’s at the Al Sadd Stadium.

Strong contests are in the offing as much is at stake for the teams in the knockout quarterfinals.

Al Rayyan vs Al Kharaitiyat

Al Rayyan, who finished first in Group B with 13 points, take on Al Kharaitiyat, who came fourth in Group A with six points.

Al Rayyan will look to add to their season-opening Sheikh Jassim Cup triumph, whereas Al Kharaitiyat will try to put behind their disappointment in the QNB Stars League, where they languish at the last place with only three points and face relegation threat.

Al Gharafa vs Al Ahli

Reigning QSL Cup champions Al Gharafa reached the quarterfinals as the runners-up of Group A with nine points.

On the other hand, Al Ahli progressed as the third-placed team in Group B with nine points.

Qatar SC vs Al Sadd

Qatar SC topped Group A with 11 points following their 2-1 win over Al Duhail in Round 5, where Al Sadd lost 0-3 to Al Ahli to end up with five points.

Qatar SC will surely try to punch above their weight because they know that is needed for them to put it across current QNB Stars League leaders Al Sadd.

Al Duhail vs Al Khor

Al Duhail, who finished third in Group A with eight points, are up against a tricky side like Al Khor, who emerged as Group B runners-up with 11 points.

Al Duhail have many star players in their ranks, while Al Khor are a gritty team who can give their rivals a good run for their money.
