Al Gharafa coach Slavisa Jokanovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Al Arabi.
“Since this match comes after the international break, we missed our national-team players for most training. We’re ready for this game. We want to win after going winless in two games. I know Al Arabi are a strong team that gets good results. But our target is victory.
“We’ve analysed Al Arabi. They’ve sharp strikers and a good midfield. I’m focused on my team. I advise Ahmed Alaaeldin (who also addressed the Press conference) to keep working and develop his level because he’s a talented player. But talent alone isn’t enough.
“I support all young players in Al Gharafa and not just Ahmed Alaa, and advise them constantly,” said Jokanovic.
Ahmed Alaa said, “It’ll be a keenly-fought match. Al Arabi are one of the best teams in the league this season. I hope to see Al Gharafa fans present at the stadium. We’ll do everything we can to win.
“There’s no difference in my level compared to last season. The coach is motivating me to stay focused. I’m looking forward to be the Qatar national team striker at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.”
