Mohammed Waad
Mohammed Waad is one of the outstanding players under the age of 23 in the QNB Stars League. He is a consistent performer on whom Al Wakrah can rely on. He is a dynamic player who can play either as a left-back or left winger.
Mohammed Waad has represented Al Wakrah in most of their games in this season’s QNB Stars League, where they are playing after a gap of two seasons. The Blue Wave are currently seventh in the standings with seven points (two wins, one draw and three defeats) after six rounds of action.
He was recruited by Al Wakrah at the start of this season on a one-year loan deal from Al Sadd, as part of strengthening their squad after earning promotion to the top flight.
He is also a key member of Felix Sanchez-coached Qatar Olympic team that is preparing for the AFC Under-23 Championship, to be held in Thailand from 8th to 26th January, 2020. It is also the qualification tournament for next summer’s Tokyo Olympics.
