The QNB Stars League Young Talent features young/under-23 players who play influential roles with their clubs, thereby catching the attention of fans and the media.

Abdullah Al Ahrak

Despite being an Under-23 player, Al Ahrak is a regular presence in the Al Ahli ranks. The midfielder has a key role to play in the team’s Spanish coach Ruben de la Barrera’s scheme of things.

Al Ahrak took the field in Al Ahli’s first four matches in the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. He started three games and went in as a substitute in the other.

He scored a goal in their 3-0 victory over Al Sailiya in Week 2. Al Ahli started off with a 1-3 loss to Al Arabi. They also beat Al Khor 3-2 before losing 1-3 to Al Gharafa last week to be on six points.

Al Ahli recruited Al Ahrak at the start of this season on a one-season loan from Al Duhail, as part of strengthening their ranks. He has the ability to play a defensive role as well.

His consistency in performance led to him being included in the Qatar national team by Spanish coach Felix Sanchez. Al Ahrak has also represented the Qatar Olympic and youth teams.
