17:25 kick-off at Al Arabi Stadium
Umm Salal run into Al Duhail in Week 7 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 17:25 at the Al Arabi Stadium on Sunday, 20th October, 2019.
Umm Salal have a tough task on hand given that Al Duhail are leading the table.
The Orange Fortress are placed ninth with five points (one victory, three defeats and two draws). Spaniard Raul Caneda’s men have a goal difference of -5 (seven goals for and 12 against).
Umm Salal were held 1-1 by Al Shahania in the previous round played before the international break, while Al Duhail beat Al Sailiya 2-1.
Incidentally, that was the only point Al Shahania earned so far in the tournament.
Al Duhail have 14 points, one more than second-placed Al Arabi, who have played one match less since their Week 5 fixture against Al Sadd was deferred due to The Wolves’ AFC Champions League commitment.
Portuguese Rui Faria-coached Al Duhail have registered four victories and two draws to remain as unbeaten. Al Arabi and Al Rayyan are the only other sides who have not tasted defeat in this season’s QNB Stars League.
The Red Knights have a goal difference of +5 (11 goals for and six against).
Umm Salal boast of Mahmoud Al Mawas, Adil Rhaili, Rami Fayez and Murad Naji in addition to Yannick Sagbo, who missed the game against Al Shahania due to an injury.
Al Duhail mainly have the services of Almoez Ali, Paulo Edmilson, Mohanad Ali, Ahmed Yasser and Mehdi Benatia. Some of their players, such as Asim Madibo, are nursing injuries.
Meanwhile, in the first round of Ooredoo Cup last week, Umm Salal lost 0-2 to Al Ahli and Al Duhail played out a 2-2 draw with Al Gharafa.
