Qatar SC take on Al Ahli on a confident note in Week 6 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League at the Al Ahli Stadium on Saturday.

Qatar SC are on a high after registering their first victory last week, 1-0 against Al Khor, following a series of defeats. They had lost 1-2 Al Duhail, 0-2 to Al Wakrah, 1-3 to Al Gharafa and 0-1 to Al Sailiya.

In the very first round, Qatar SC had even raised visions of victory against Al Duhail, but conceded two late goals to throw away the lead.

Qatar SC went into their Week 5 match against Al Khor with a change at the helm of technical staff, Wesam Rizik replacing Spanish coach Carlos Alos Ferrer. And it brought them instant success. The Kings badly need points to move away from the danger zone, so it is important they sustain the momentum.

Qatar SC have a goal difference of -5 (four goals for and nine against).

Al Ahli, who have six points, are coming off back-to-back defeats, against Al Gharafa and Al Rayyan, both by a 1-3 margin. The Brigadiers had also lost 1-3 to Al Arabi.

Al Ahli’s victories were against Al Sailiya (3-0) and Al Khor (3-2).

Al Ahli, under Ruben de la Barrera, have a goal difference of -2, having scored nine goals and conceded 11.
