Umm Salal and Al Wakrah will open the Week 5 action of 2019-20 season QNB Stars League. Both teams had lost in the last round, so this is a good chance for them to regain the lost ground.

Al Wakrah lost 2-4 to Al Duhail, while Umm Salal lost 1-2 to holders Al Sadd in Week 4.

The encounter is expected to be a keenly-fought one, given that Umm Salal are eager to register their first victory, while promoted team Al Wakrah are punching above their weight and would want to continue their good run.

Al Wakrah have already registered two wins. And they lost the other two games. The Blue Wave have a goal difference of -1 (seven goals for and eight against).

Al Wakrah’s victories were against Qatar SC (2-0) and Al Shahania (2-0). They lost 1-4 to Al Sadd and 2-4 to Al Duhail last week.

Umm Salal have only one point, from their 2-2 draw against Al Rayyan in the first round, and they lost three matches (0-1 to Al Khor, 1-5 to Al Arabi and 1-2 to Al Sadd).

The Orange Fortress have a goal difference of -6, having scored four goals and conceded 10.

The game will also be noted for the tactical battle between coaches Marquez Lopez of Al Wakrah and his Umm Salal counterpart Raul Caneda, both from Spain.
