17:50 kick-off at Al Arabi Stadium

Al Shahania run into Al Duhail in Week 5 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League at the Al Arabi Stadium on Saturday.

Al Duhail have eight points with an unbeaten run. They defeated Qatar SC 2-1 and Al Wakrah 4-2, but were held by Al Arabi and Al Rayyan by an identical 1-1 score.

The Red Knights have a goal difference of +3 (eight goals for and five against).

Al Duhail, coached by Portuguese Rui Faria, would look forward to their second successive victory, and the third so far, as they want to be in strong contention for the title.

Al Duhail had missed the services of three foreign professional players (Yousef Msakni, Paulo Edmilson and Mohanad Ali) in their last match. It has to be seen whether they will be able to take the field against Al Shahania.

On the other hand, Al Shahania are lying at the very bottom of the 12-team table and have yet to open their account, just like Qatar SC.

Al Shahania, under the tutelage of Spaniard Jose Murcia, badly need a positive result following a spate of defeats that saw them lose 1-2 to Al Arabi in Week 4. Their other setbacks were against Al Gharafa (0-3), Al Sadd (1-7) and Al Wakrah (0-2).

Al Shahania have not only scored the least number of goals (two), the same as Qatar SC, but they also have the worst goal difference (-12) against their name.
