Al Arabi face Al Duhail challenge in Week 22 of the QNB Stars League on Saturday, 13th April. The kick-off is at 18:20 at the Al Arabi Stadium.

Al Arabi would look to build on their 2-1 victory over Qatar SC, while 2017-18 league champions Al Duhail would like to put behind the disappointment of losing 0-1 to lowly Al Kharaitiyat in the last round and end their campaign on a winning note.

Al Arabi are placed sixth with 30 points (10 victories and 11 defeats). The Dream Team have a goal difference of -11 (27 goals for and 38 against).

Even if Al Arabi win, they can only finish in the fifth position, depending on the result of Al Ahli’s match against Al Khor, because Al Ahli already have 33 points. In case of a tie, goal difference will be taken into account.

Al Duhail, who lost out to Al Sadd in the title race in Week 21, assured themselves of runners-up finish. They have 47 points from 14 victories, five draws and two defeats. The Red Knights’ goal difference is +32 (49 goals for and 17 against).

Al Sadd were crowned following their victory over Al Ahli that gave them an unassailable lead.

Meanwhile, Al Duhail played out a 2-2 draw with the UAE’s Al Ain in the AFC Champions League third round (Group C) on Monday, 8th April, at home.

Al Duhail had beaten Al Arabi 2-0 in the first leg.
