Al Sadd face Al Rayyan in Week 21 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 20:30 at the Al Sadd Stadium on Tuesday, 6th April, 2021.

The match, dubbed ‘Qatar Clasico’, evokes keen interest among all stakeholders — players, fans, technical staff, sponsors, officials and administrators alike.

Al Sadd are the leaders among Qatari clubs in terms of titles won and achievements made at the national, regional and continental levels.

At the same time, Al Rayyan have been a major force on Qatar’s football scene.

Al Sadd, coached by Spaniard Xavi Hernandez, have already won this season’s QNB Stars League title and are the only unbeaten side. The Wolves, who beat Al Gharafa 2-0 in Week 19, have 54 points (17 victories and three draws), and have a goal difference of +59 (72 goals for and 13 against).

Meanwhile, Al Rayyan, who lost 2-3 to Umm Salal in Week 19, are placed third with 34 points. The Lions, under the tutelage of Frenchman Laurent Blanc, have registered 10 victories, four draws and six defeats, and have a goal difference of +10 (29 goals for and 19 against).

Al Sadd had beaten Al Rayyan 1-0 in the first leg of 2020-21 season QNB Stars League.
