Al Sadd will target nothing less than victory when they play host to Al Khor in Week 16 of the QNB Stars League on Saturday, 16th February. The kick-off is at 19:10 at the Al Sadd Stadium.

Al Sadd will leave no stone unturned as they are leading the standings with 38 points as against the nine points of Al Khor, who are placed 11th and still face relegation.

Al Sadd have many star players in their ranks, while Al Khor have reinforced the squad in the January transfer window.

The Wolves have the most number of victories (12) after 15 rounds in the 2018-19 season QNB Stars League. They have scored the most number of goals (65) as well and have a goal difference of league-leading 51. They drew two matches, while the only time they suffered defeat was at the hands of Al Ahli.

The game is of great importance to both teams because it comes after a long break in the QNB Stars League and Qatar’s triumph at the Asian Cup in the UAE.

Al Khor, on the other hand, have only two wins, three draws and 10 losses to show for their efforts. The Knights’ goal difference is -16 (11 goals for and 27 against). And they have to punch way above their weight if they are to stay away from the danger zone.

Al Sadd, coached by Portuguese Jesualdo Ferreira, have many star players in their ranks, while Al Khor, under Frenchman Bernard Casoni, have reinforced the squad in the January transfer window.

They both prepared for the remainder of the season by playing friendlies recently.

Al Sadd went down fighting to Chinese club Chongqing Lifan 2-3, while Al Khor beat Al Sailiya 2-1.
