18:55 kick-off at Al Duhail Stadium
Al Duhail face Al Wakrah in Week 15 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 18:55 at the Al Duhail Stadium on Saturday, 22nd February, 2020.
Al Duhail are the table toppers with 33 points (10 wins, three draws and one defeat). They have a goal difference of +15 (27 goals for and 12 against).
However, Al Duhail’s form dipped a bit of late. They lost to Al Sadd by a 0-4 margin in the 2020 Qatar Cup final and, subsequently, a change at the helm saw Moroccan Walid Regragui replace Portuguese Rui Faria.
The Red Knights then lost their record of being the only unbeaten side in this season’s QNB Stars League when they suffered a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Al Rayyan in Week 14.
Al Duhail also failed to progress past the group stage of Ooredoo Cup even though they reached the Amir Cup quarterfinals by beating Muaither 4-0.
Al Wakrah have 19 points (five victories, as many defeats and four draws). Their goal difference is 0 (22 goals for and 22 against).
Al Wakrah, coached by Spaniard Marquez Lopez, have had a good run ever since the start of second leg of QNB Stars League as they held Qatar SC to a goalless draw in Week 13 after shocking reigning champions Al Sadd 2-1.
The Blue Wave followed it up by beating Al Shahania 4-1 in Week 14.
Al Wakrah recently reached the quarterfinals of Amir Cup by beating Al Shahania 10-9 on penalties, whereas they lost out on a semifinal berth in the Ooredoo Cup after losing 0-1 to Al Arabi.
Al Duhail had beaten Al Wakrah 4-2 in the first leg of 2019-20 QNB Stars League.
